Beat the heat with side cornrows like Taapsee Pannu HAIR By Madhura Sansare

Cornrows tend to make an appearance every summer almost because this style is such a great way to pin up your hair while still keeping things cute. We’re inspired to try something new like Taapsee Pannu’s side cornrows in this gorgeous look.

Get the look
Shampoo and condition your hair and then thread in some leave-in cream to detangle all the way through. Apply a volumising mousse to your roots. Create a side part and pin up the more voluminous side to keep it out of the way. Separate a small section of the hair you want to braid, starting a little above your ear, and divide it into three equal locks with a tail comb. Cross the left lock under the middle one so this is now the new middle lock, and then cross the right underneath it. Finish the first stitch by crossing the left lock of the hair under the middle one once again. Use a rat-tail comb to pick a small amount of hair from under the braid, and add it to the middle lock before braiding another stitch. Keep going this way till you reach the end of your first cornrow, then twist and secure. Begin another cornrow right on top of the first one, and repeat the process. Continue creating cornrows till you reach your side part, and secure them. Blow-dry the other side of your hair for effect.
