Dramatic dreadlocks rule at Pero’s AIFW show! HAIR By TNN

Designer Aneeth Arora decided to take inspiration from her travel journal for this season's show. The Pero show at Amazon India Fashion in association with Maybelline New York was held at Crafts Museum in Delhi.

The designer incorporated a mix of elements from China and Latin America. She feels inspiration has no rules and draws inspiration from such diverse places. Her collection was inspired by cultures worldwide and later made in India. She believes such hand-crafted clothing shows a love of making them and always narrates a story.

Another highlight of the show was when all the models donned the dreadlocks hairstyle. Dreadlocks which are basically rope-like strands of hair formed by braiding and many other techniques. This hairstyle holds a cultural place in many countries.

These dreadlocks were created by Ambika Pillai and her team. In a conversation with FDCI, Ambika explains that the team took a lot of time to create such dreads. They went sourcing and wrapped, curled around the material to make it look like hair. We must say that this dreadlock drama clearly stole the show!
