Is it one of those Mondays where you just want to throw your hair in a ponytail? But that does not

mean it has to be blah. Here are 10 hacks to help you look like the gorgeous goddess you are!

Perk it up

Heavy hair makes your ponytail slump? Good old bobby pins are your best bet. Use two or three of them at the base of the ponytail along the hair elastic to make it perk right up. 

Cheat it

Is your hair not looking perked-up enough? Divide it into two sections vertically. Let the bottom section fall naturally, and jam a small clip in between the sections at the base. Let the top part fall naturally.

Tease and tame

Think you need a messier perk? Divide your ponytail into three parts and finger tease the base of each section. That just means, you hold up the section and comb from tip to base with your fingers.

Retro glam

If you’re looking at a more glammed up ponytail, tease your crown with a small-toothed comb before you tie it up. 

Make it long

Is your ponytail too short? Two is better than one! Divide your hair into two sections. Tie the top section in a half up ponytail and perk it up till your satisfaction. Take the second section and tie it up right beneath the first section. Same hair, longer ponytail.

Get fancy

Want to look fancy? Take a thin strand from the base of the ponytail and wrap it around the hair elastic until you have a small end. Pin that to the base of the ponytail. 

Glam code

You didn’t have time to wash your hair, but have a party to attend? Use a cool metallic cuff—it will amp up your hairstyle in no time!

Sleek-ify

Is your sleek ponytail a little too sleek? Use a flat iron and twist the ends upwards for a retro twist.

No hands, no props

Have you lost your hair tie? Just take your tresses on one side, use a large section off the base and wrap it tightly around your hair. Pin or clip the section once wrapped. Voila!

Topsy turvy tail

Give a funky twist to your ponytail by using the topsy-turvy trick. Make your usual ponytail and loosen the hair elastic. Take two fingers and create a loop on your crown closer to the hair elastic. Twist your ponytail through the loop. Loosen it up for a little messier vibe.
