5 Thick Oils That Will Do Your Natural Right By JENELL B STEWART

It is essential that we keep our hair moisturized during every month but especially in the winter months. Curly hair is more prone to dryness and
breakage thus requiring a little extra time to properly moisturize. Many curlies use the LOC Methodto properly moisturize their curls. I personally prefer the LCO method, but that’s just me. Both methods incorporate natural oils to seal the moisture in your hair. Please know, oils themselves are not moisturizing ingredients. Using oils in your moisturizing routine along side a leave in and a moisturizing butter or creme is extremely effective.
Thick oils can also protect your ends by preventing breakage and lessening split ends, especially from rubbing against your favorite winter sweaters and scarves. In addition, thick oil will give your hair long-lasting moisture where you will not have to moisturize your hair as often. If you are looking for a new thick oil to add to your regimen, try these five oils.

CASTOR OIL

Castor oil is extracted from the seeds of a castor plant. This oil is thick and provides many benefits to your hair. It can promote hair growth, functions as a humectant, and helps to prevent hair breakage.

JOJOBA OIL

Jojoba oil is extracted from a jojoba plant. This accessible oil will provide your hair with long-lasting moisture. It can be a bit pricey, but it is a great choice to seal your hair and lubricate your ends.

OLIVE OIL

Olive oil is a great thick oil to choose from. It is easily accessible and you can find it at your local grocery store. It is best if you purchase extra virgin olive oil to receive the most nutrition benefits for your hair.

ARGAN OIL

Argan oil is the lightest among the oils mentioned previously. It will provide your hair with a lot of moisture and protection, especially if you decide to use more heat for the colder months. It will help protect the hair from heat damage.
Which of these oils give you the best moisturizing results?
