5 Sizzling Date Night Natural Hairstyles

It’s that time again! Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching and though you may not know what your significant other has planned for you (or what you’re planning), you still want to look FLY! Don’t
worry. I’ve been scouring the internet for the hottest natural hairstylesthat you can wear for your special day, night, or weekend out. Whether you’re going for a romantic ‘do, funky updotwisted style, or a simple twist-out, I’ve found some great styling tutorials for you.
Up first, the voluminous bantu knot-out. India of My Natural Sistas shows you how to achieve a beautiful bantu knot-out using water and whipped shea butter! All that you need is a comb for parting.

Next, for my sisters rocking the TWA (teeny weeny afro), YouTube user iknowleedemonstrates a flat twist-out that requires a leave-in conditioner, a cream moisturizer, hair clips, and a denman brush. Don’t forget: you can always make your TWA even jazzier by accessorizing with scarves, flowers, headbands, the list goes on.

If you’re looking for a more simple style, Natural Chica offers up a tutorial on styling a twist-out.

Jenell, our Editor-in-Chief of Kinky Curly Coily Me, demonstrates how to achieve an elegant high bun using 2 elastic bands, gel, a brush, a satin scarf, and a doughnut hole.

For my loc’ed goddesses, check out this video from Chescalocs in which she demonstrates how to do a unisex lobster roll. You only need two ponytail holders for this style.

But if your locs are not that long, or if that level of difficulty is beyond your skillset, here’s a BONUS tutorial from TheNaturallyoufor shorter locs that only requires bobby pins.

How are you rocking your natural hair for Valentine’s Day?
